Our management is highly concerned about the environment and working on sustainability through preserving the natural resources, reducing pollution, and effective use of energy during the construction, operations, and maintenance phases. To mitigate environmental pollution, Pune Metro Line III is implementing multiple control measures, such as continuous environment monitoring, and stringent waste management programs based on ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ standards. We are taking utmost case in preserving trees, the survival rate of our transplanted trees is more than 90%, which is significantly higher than any other peer organisation.
Pune Metro Line III management is committed for protecting our stakeholders, workmen, and employees, by implementing the industry best health and safety practices during the construction phase. We execute our majority of work activities by using mechanical equipment such as Launching Girders, Mobile Cranes, Excavators, Manlifts, and Gantry Cranes, to minimise human efforts and expedite construction activities for the timely and safe completion of the project. We deploy competent employees and workforce to perform construction activities efficiently. We are continually assessing the employees while providing job-specific and competency building training to them to improve work efficiency. Regular inspections, audits, and meetings are being conducted to identify gaps in health and safety procedures and mitigate the issues to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
We are committed to making all efforts to minimize disruption in the lives of Pune’s citizens during construction phase. To begin with, barricades have been installed to cordon off the site & avoid mishaps. Reflectors to ensure safety while driving at night, adequate lighting & general cleanliness is maintained at all times. Safety marshals have been deployed at traffic hotspots in consultation with Traffic police & other authorities. Continuous engagement with critical stakeholders is key to address issues swiftly & to the satisfaction of common man.
